Chinese handwritten note

Testing multi-line Chinese text inside a realistic scene.

A wide view of a refrigerator beside a kitchen counter with a fruit bowl. A small sticky note on the refrigerator door is handwritten in Chinese: "记得买牛奶和鸡蛋!牛奶两盒,鸡蛋一打。"

Small handwriting can contain wrong characters; check every line.

A frosted amber glass bottle on a travertine plinth with olive branches and soft linen, warm Mediterranean sunlight. The cream label reads "NORTH & CO" and below it "DAILY SERUM". English text only.

What you can make with MOSS Image

  • Generate one image from a long text prompt, including Chinese or English words you want rendered inside the image.
  • Create posters, signs, packaging concepts, menus, infographics, and other text-heavy layouts.
  • Direct subject, composition, lighting, style, and canvas ratio; put every exact word in quotation marks.

What this page does not provide

  • MOSS Image is text-to-image only here: it cannot edit, restyle, or extend an uploaded image.
  • Rendered text is strong but not guaranteed; spelling, small type, and line breaks can still be wrong.
  • Results are 1K raster images, not editable vector type or print-ready files.

Review before publishing

  • Proofread every word, number, date, price, and name in the image.
  • Check logos, people, products, and third-party marks for accuracy and usage rights.
  • Rebuild final legal, pricing, or contact text in a layout tool when it must be exact.

Task guidance

About MOSS Image

Facts below come from the official OpenMOSS GitHub repository and Hugging Face model cards. MorphPix does not publish its own benchmark for this model.

What MOSS Image is

MOSS-Image is a 5B-parameter text-to-image diffusion transformer from the OpenMOSS team, released on October 16, 2026 as MOSS-Image-Base and MOSS-Image-SFT. The weights and bundled inference code are Apache-2.0. OpenMOSS highlights text rendering, layout control, and prompts of up to 4K tokens.

Write prompts for text and layout

Describe the scene first, then list every piece of text in quotation marks and say where it goes, for example top headline, bottom line, or a label on the bottle. Locally, the official pipeline also accepts a JSON layout with bounding boxes; this page sends plain-text prompts.

MOSS Image vs FLUX

FLUX.2 Pro on MorphPix handles both text-to-image and reference-guided edits from an uploaded image. MOSS Image is text-to-image only, but its release focuses on long rendered text and layout. Pick MOSS Image for text-heavy posters and signs; pick FLUX.2 Pro when you need to edit a photo.

MOSS Image vs Qwen-Image

Qwen-Image is Alibaba's open-weight model, also known for Chinese and English text rendering, and is available on MorphPix's Qwen Image page. Both target text-rich images; MOSS Image adds JSON layout input when run locally and is a smaller 5B model. Compare both on your own prompt before choosing.

Run MOSS Image locally with ComfyUI

OpenMOSS says ComfyUI supports MOSS Image natively: update ComfyUI to a master or nightly build with MOSS Image support, download the ComfyUI-format weights from huggingface.co/Comfy-Org/MOSS-Image, and use the built-in loaders. Full steps are in the comfyui folder of github.com/OpenMOSS/MOSS-Image. The full checkpoint needs a large NVIDIA GPU; use this page if you do not have one.

MOSS Image FAQ

Is MOSS Image free?

The model weights are free to download under Apache-2.0. Generating on MorphPix uses Credits: each successful 1K image costs the Credits shown before you generate, and failed jobs are not charged. The Free plan includes a monthly Credit allowance.

Can MOSS Image write Chinese and English text?

Yes, that is its main strength. Put the exact text in quotation marks. Long or small text can still contain mistakes, so proofread the result.

Can MOSS Image edit an uploaded image?

No. MOSS Image is a text-to-image model. Use the AI Image Editor on MorphPix to change an existing photo.

Which MOSS Image resolution does MorphPix use?

MorphPix runs the 1K tier (about one megapixel) in the aspect ratio you choose.

Where can I find the official MOSS Image model?

The official code is at github.com/OpenMOSS/MOSS-Image, the weights are on Hugging Face under OpenMOSS-Team/MOSS-Image-Base and OpenMOSS-Team/MOSS-Image-SFT, and OpenMOSS also offers an API on the MOSI platform.

Can I use MOSS Image results commercially?

The model weights are Apache-2.0. Before commercial use, also check MorphPix's terms and the rights to any logos, people, or brands in your image.
